- presenter: As the Government reveals it will press ahead with ID cards, there's been a protest against them in Ipswich.
- Geoff: Bit by bit, every single part of your life will be ruled by this.
- presenter: Plans for an ID card centre at Crown House in the town were today approved. Anyone needing a new passport will have to give their fingerprints and answer questions. Campaigner Geoff Brace says that's not right.
- Geoff: Do we have to have all our personal information available to several hundred thousand civil servants, to be collated, to be read through? Many of us don't want to discuss our health problems, our financial circumstances many of these things.
